Arlena Randazzo Boyle - Director
As Owner and Artistic Director, Arlena brings over 40 years of formal training and performance experience in dance and theater to the company. She has studied dance in New York, New Jersey, and Boston. Arlena received a BA in Communication/Theater with a focus in Radio Production from Trenton State College and an MS in Speech/Language Pathology from Northeastern University. As a performer, Arlena has been seen in various Off Broadway and Regional/Stock Theatre productions. As a teacher, choreographer, and director, Arlena has worked with several east coast dance studios and production companies over the years. With her combined experience as a performer and speech pathologist, Arlena has successfully developed the Extra Special Steps, a dance and theater program for students with special needs. Arlena is thrilled to be able to provide a studio that is home away from home for so many dancers throughout the years and to continue to bring the community together to share their common passion.
Donna Martin-Ellis - Faculty Assistant, Student Coordinator, Business Coordinator
Donna comes to Studio B Dance Center with over 40 years of dance and teaching experience (Steps Off Broadway and Lucier’s School of Dance). As a performer, Donna participated in various productions at Steps including the original Nuttapper, This Country’s Rockin, 42nd Street, Stage Door and many Christmas/Holiday productions. She has competed in various dance competitions in MA, RI and Myrtle Beach throughout her life. Donna is passionate about dance -especially tap- but also loves working with all the students. She has also been an assistant to the Extra Special Steps program for nearly 20 years. As a Benefits Manager @ Stratus Technologies, Donna brings valuable experience related to customer relations and administrative duties. Her assistance with registration, recital preparation, and various office-related tasks is essential to the operation of Studio B. Our Student Recognition Program is also coordinated by Donna and is an important part of our mission.
Meghan Sawicki - Faculty
Meghan comes to Studio B Dance Center for her 20th year of dance. Her dance training comes from Patti Eisenhauer Dance Center, Steps Off Broadway and the Rockets Dance Team. She started competing in national dance competitions at age 8 and has competed as close as Franklin and as far as Las Vegas. She has her bachelors degree in Biochemistry from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and works at Mass General Hospital. In college she was on the executive board of her dance team, a member of the competition dance team and choreographed for VOX Musical Theater. In addition to dancing, Meghan was also involved with concert band and choir and has performed concerts in Prague and Berlin. Meghan has also appeared in countless musical theater productions in the area and is involved with the Walking Shadow Shakespeare Project. Meghan is so excited to be a part of the Studio B team!
Beth Newton - Office Administration
Beth has had years of experience in not just dance but also dance business relations. Beth started her dance career at the age of 4 in Mansfield, MA where she danced and competed all through high school. She is an original member of the SMARTS collaborative. She holds an Associate of Arts in Dance from Dean Junior College. Beth was the owner of A Dancer’s World in Sharon and Norton. She was the past president of GBDTA and was a member of DTCB. Beth has also been a Girl Scout leader for 5 years, a Pop Warner Cheer coach for 9 years, and the yearbook coordinator for the Medway Elementary PTO for 4 years. In 2010, Beth decided to sell her business and make a career change. She went back to school to obtain her teaching degree. In 2013, she received her Bachelors in K-8 Interdisciplinary Studies and now holds an Elementary 1-6 teaching license. Beth has spent the last two years as a long-term substitute in Medway, Hopkinton, and Franklin. This year she will be working in the Hopkinton Public Schools as a 2nd grade teacher. Beth is thrilled to join the team of Studio B Dance Center and looks forward to helping behind the scenes!
Nicole Brunelle - Assistant Dance Director
Nicole is an alumnus of Steps Off Broadway. With over 25 years of training and performance experience, she is able to provide her students with all the skills necessary to be a well-rounded dancer. As a consummate performer, Nicole has won several high score awards in national dance competitions over the years and now she is able to share this journey with her students. She has attended several master classes throughout the years and has been trained in a wide variety of dance styles. Nicole was a lead dancer in several Steps Off Broadway theatre productions including Silver Moon Café, Gypsy, Chicago, The Nuttapper, and Copacabana. Nicole brings her joy for dance to her students and is passionate about building confident dancers from the inside out. Although dance is a strong passion for her, she graduated Worcester State University with a degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and is a licensed Speech Language Pathology Assistant. While at college she kept up with dance by taking college dance classes and danced with the Worcester State dance club. Her knowledge acquired through her degree program translates over to her teaching style, especially with our younger students. Nicole is excited to be a part of Studio B and is honored to be able to watch our students grow both as dancers and individuals.
Laurie M. Green Dumas - Faculty
Laurie brings over thirty years of formal dance training to the Industry. Laurie began studying at Lucier’s School of Dance, McKeon School of Dance & Gymnastics Center (named 3rd best competitive studio in MA by Dance Universe Magazine), and commenced at Steps Off Broadway, under the direction of Keith J. Mottola. Having studied ballet, tap, jazz, lyric, modern, point, hip hop, theatre and acro, Laurie instructed dance at Steps Off Broadway, teaching all levels and forms for over fifteen years. Laurie competed regionally and nationally in dance and cheer winning various awards. As Dance Captain, Laurie has been seen in several Off-Broadway Theatre Productions including Chicago, Copacabana, and A Christmas Carole. As Cheer Squad Captain, coached by former New England Patriots Cheerleader, Terri Spearin Larsen, Laurie trained at UMASS with the National Cheer Association elite summer camp. While pursuing dance classes at Community College of Rhode Island and as a performer in the Dance Pops program at Bridgewater State University, Laurie received an A.L.A. and a B.B.A with a concentration in Human Resources. Laurie is the Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent for Wrentham Elementary Public Schools, instructs Barre and Zumba classes at The Gym, LLC, and pursues her dance education by taking classes and performing. Following the birth of her son, Gavin (4), Laurie is truly excited to continue sharing her passion of Dance with the aspiring students of Studio B Dance Center!
Elissa DiBona- Ballet Instructor
Elissa DiBona twirled her way into the dance studio at only 2 years old. At 6, she auditioned for the Boston Ballet, and spent 12 years seriously studying the Vaganova (Russian) tradition of ballet. She performed with the Company for several years in the critically acclaimed Nutcracker at the Wang Center in Boston. To compliment her ballet training, Elissa also studied tap, jazz, and lyrical genres, competing regionally and nationally through out New England. She continued her studies at Hofstra University in New York, pursuing her love of dance, as well as minoring in Creative Writing and Psychology. After graduation, Elissa made the decision to move to New York, teaching and choreographing full time at dance studios on Long Island. In 2005, she was the co-founder and Artistic Director of the FAITH Dance Project, a contemporary ballet company that performs in Manhattan. She holds a graduate degree from Boston University, having studied Performing Arts Management, and is currently teaching dance in the Boston area, including a new position on staff at Stonehill College. "Miss Elissa" is in love with her students, and wants to share her love of ballet and all things pink and sparkly with her "kids"!
Kayla Cormier - Hip Hop Instructor Kayla has been dancing since she was 4 years old. She started at Franklin Dance Workshop but found her true dance home at Steps Off Broadway where she remained until she went off to college. Kayla was an avid member of the Fitchburg State Dance Club throughout her four years of college and taught Video Pop her senior year. She graduated with a degree in Communication Media and Photography. She is very excited for her first teaching role at Studio B as the Hip Hop instructor.
Tiffany Glynn - Acro Instructor
Tiffany has been coaching gymnastics and tumbling for over 15 years. In knowing how to step outside of the box and embracing that learning can happen in non-conventional ways, she has helped her students achieve success in their own individual ways. Outside of teaching, she is the proud mom to her son, Drew. She wears purple in her hair to support and bring awareness to his condition called Chiari Malformation. Tiffany is happy to join the Studio B faculty and teach the acro students new skills in a new and fun way.
